About Healthy Sprouts Salad

Chana moong salad is made either by soaking (sprouting) or boiling. In which sprouted gram moong is very beneficial for health. Because by wrapping soaked gram and moong in a wet cloth, small sprouts come out in it. Which are rich in vitamins and minerals. Essential elements like iron, folate, magnesium and potassium are found in them.

At home, I soak a bowl of chickpeas and a bowl of moong at night and have them for breakfast after morning walk and exercise. Not only me but everyone in my family also likes sprouted moong chickpeas. Apart from this, I make a salad of paneer, moong chickpeas, cucumber and tomato.

How to make Healthy Sprouts Salad

  1. First of all, soak one bowl of desi chickpeas and one bowl of green moong beans in water for one night.
  2. Take out the soaked chickpeas and moong from the water and wrap them in a wet cloth and cover it in a bowl like vessel and keep it for one night.

3. Next, take a bowl-shaped vessel and add the moong gram into it.

4. Add 1/2 bowl chopped tomatoes.

5. Add 1/2 bowl finely chopped onion.

6. Add 1 bowl finely chopped cucumber.

7. Add 1/2 tablespoon finely chopped coriander leaves.

8. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt. You can add more or less as per taste.

9. Add 1/4 teaspoon chat masala.

10. Add 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice.

11. Mix everything well with the help of a spoon.

  • If you do not like to eat sprouted moong gram, then you can eat it after boiling it.
  • You can make a more delicious healthy salad by mixing chopped paneer, cashews, raisins and almonds with chana moong.
  • Serve the Chana Moong Salad immediately so that the salad remains fresh and crisp. It can turn sticky and spoil if stored for a longer period of time.
  • You can increase both the nutrition and taste by adding pomegranate, carrot, cucumber, beetroot or roasted peanuts to it.
  • Adding black salt, ajwain, white sesame seeds and roasted cumin seeds enhances the taste of the salad.
